Congressman Becerra is a member of the Ways and Means and Budget committees in the House of Representatives.

Ways and Means Committee

The Ways and Means Committee is responsible for formulating our nation’s tax, Social Security, Medicare, trade and income security laws. Rep. Becerra also sits on the Health, Oversight and Social Security subcommittees.

Budget Committee

The Budget Committee is responsible for overseeing the federal budget-making process and reviewing all bills and resolutions related to the budget. In addition, Rep. Becerra is a member of the President's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.
