WASHINGTON, D.C. - Representative Xavier Becerra (CA - 30), the only congressional member from Southern California who is on the House Ways and Means Committee, earned a perfect score of 100 percent on the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare's 107th Congressional Scorecard.
"I have made Social Security and Medicare preservation a hallmark of my tenure in Congress," Rep. Becerra, a member of the Subcommittee on Social Security, said. "Social Security is arguably the single greatest program that this government has ever created, and I will continue to work to ensure that it is neither jeopardized nor privatized."
